FloodHelpNY.org
In 2015, the Center for NYC Neighborhoods was awarded a grant from the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery to provide NYC homeowners with detailed information about their flood risk. As part of a grant from the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery, the Center created FloodHelpNY.org to provide easy to understand flood risk information to all NYC homeowners. An accompanying Home Resiliency Audit Program brought together surveyors, engineers, master plumbers, and resiliency counselors to provide eligible homeowners with an accurate flood insurance quote, as well as personalized advice on how to retrofit their home to keep insurance costs down.

Project Management
As the project manager for FloodHelpNY.org I balanced the design of the website and backend development timeline and cost, often coordinating between vendors to move the project forward. Additionally, I had to account for website restrictions, program staff needs, and funder requirements in designing the Home Resiliency audit program structure. Through working on FloodHelpNY.org I became intimately familiar with the challenges of moving a product and program from initial conception through to launch and maintenance.
Additional responsibilities included:
Vendor Selection and Management
Website Development Oversight
Website Maintenance
Technical Report Development
Initial Program Creation
FloodHelpNY.org Brand Creation
Social Media and Marketing for FloodHelpNY.org and the Home Resiliency Audit Program
